White Counter

I felt terrible about breaking Rob’s stained coffee mug, but found its remaining shape interesting.  So it became the center of this painting, set against white wall tiles.  Then I added the dead plant with red stuff– is it blood? But plants don’t bleed! So is it tomato sauce? Who knows???  I added the biscuit– is it dripping blood or jam?  The red bug is to offset the diagonal line formed from the three objects on the counter, to bring the viewer upwards for a few brief seconds.  I have discovered that I have a fascination with white Oil, 1984 Texas [a]
